The Truth About Al Ahly's Negotiations with Coach Rui Vitoria
Media figure Ahmed Shobir revealed the truth about the negotiations between Al Ahly and coach Rui Vitoria to take over the training of the red team.
Shobir stated in remarks during his program on "On Sport FM": "Al Ahly officials confirmed that there are strong negotiations with foreign coaches during the current period."
He added: "As for Rui Vitoria? One of the officials told me that they asked the international players, especially Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet, Mohamed El-Shenawy, and Mohamed Hani about him, and they confirmed that he is a good coach."
He continued: "I don't know if Al Ahly is negotiating with Rui Vitoria or not, but there is no such thing as convincing the coach to accept the offer."
He concluded: "The club makes an offer, and the coach either accepts or rejects it, and Rui Vitoria was getting a lower salary at Panathinaikos in Greece than he was receiving with the Egyptian national team."
