Nahas: Al Ahly Suffered Refereeing Injustice
Sunday 14-09-2025
Imad Nahas, the coach of Al Ahly, confirmed that his team suffered from refereeing injustice during the match against Enppi.

The match between Al Ahly and Enppi, which took place as part of the sixth round of the Egyptian Premier League, ended in a 1-1 draw.

Nahas said in the press conference after the match: "I don't know what to say in such situations. We entered the match aiming for victory, but we did not present the level we hoped to achieve, especially in the second half."

Nahas spoke about his team's refereeing injustice, saying: "Just as the penalty was awarded against us, there was a clear foul on Trezeguet that could have been called. Whoever awarded the first penalty should have also awarded the second; there must be fairness."

He continued: "There was a lot of tension at the end of the match, and the substitutions we made did not benefit us as we hoped, due to a lack of focus in critical moments."

Regarding Zizo's participation despite his injury during warm-up, Nahas said: "We did not take the risk of having Zizo play. The player informed us that he was ready and completely fit, and he confirmed that himself, which is why he was included in the starting lineup."
