Gomez Out of Al-Ahly's Considerations for Ribeiro's Replacement
Sources confirmed that Portuguese coach Jose Gomez, the former coach of Zamalek and current coach of Al-Fateh in Saudi Arabia, is out of Al-Ahly's management considerations to replace Spanish coach Jose Ribeiro in the upcoming period.
According to the sources, Al-Ahly's management excluded the possibility of signing Gomez due to the high buyout clause in his contract with Al-Fateh, which amounts to 800,000 dollars including bonuses.
The sources also indicated that Portuguese coach Paulo Bento, the former coach of the UAE national team, requested some time to respond to Al-Ahly's coaching offer.
Additionally, some coaches have declined the opportunity to coach Al-Ahly, despite the intensive efforts made with them recently.
It is worth mentioning that several notable names were offered to Al-Ahly's management but were rejected due to instability in the clubs or national teams they had worked with for short periods.
