Ribin Solaka Promises Iraqi Fans Beautiful Football Against Thailand
Iraqi defender Ribin Solaka, a player for Thai club Port, has made a promise to the fans of the Black Falcons ahead of the match against the Thai national team in the final of the King of Thailand's four-nation friendly tournament, scheduled for tomorrow, Sunday, at the Kanchanaburi Regional Stadium at 4 PM Baghdad time.
Solaka said at the press conference:
"In the previous match, the team performed excellently and won rightfully against Hong Kong, where the players showed high quality and were on time despite the short training and gathering period in Thailand."
He added: "In every match that Iraq enters, our ambition will be to win, nothing less, whether it is friendly or official. We have been training for five days with very high morale, and the preparations are continuously escalating, thus we are ready for tomorrow's match and we aim to win the title."
He stated: "We promise our fans that we will present beautiful football, along with a positive result that will make them happy, as they deserve it for supporting us at all times and places. All players are looking forward to achieving victory, and winning the title will be a very important morale boost at this stage."
He continued: "Facing Thailand is a very important preparatory stop for the October qualifiers against Indonesia and then Saudi Arabia, within a short period of no more than 72 hours, especially since the conditions of the tournament are exactly similar to the Asian qualifying playoffs."
He concluded his speech by saying:
"Gathering with the Iraqi national team is extremely positive for us as players, as it enhances harmony before the upcoming challenges, especially since the last time we gathered was in June during the matches against South Korea and Jordan."
