The pre-season preparations for Borussia Dortmund's first team are witnessing significant Arab presence, as the coaching staff has given several rising talents from the youth categories and the reserve team the opportunity to participate in training and the summer camp.

The squad includes four players of Arab descent: Moroccan-born midfielder Ayman Azhil from the reserve team, Algerian-born defender Ilyas Ben Qara, Libyan-born left-back Al-Mughira Kabar, alongside Iraqi-born talent Marwan Mirza, who is considered one of the most promising names in the club's academy.

The Arab presence at Dortmund is not limited to young talents and reserve players, as the first team also includes Algerian defender Ramy Bensebaini, who continues his journey with the club after joining in the summer of 2023.

Mohamed Zidan previously played for Borussia Dortmund, where he shone in the club's colors and helped secure the Bundesliga title in the 2010-2011 season. Similarly, Moroccan Achraf Hakimi was on loan with the team from 2018 to 2020, delivering impressive performances that made him one of the standout full-backs in Europe before his moves to Inter Milan and then Paris Saint-Germain.
