Spanish radio station "Cadena SER" reported that former star Thiago Alcantara is close to returning to FC Barcelona, but this time as part of the coaching staff under German coach Hans Flick.

According to the newspaper "Mundo Deportivo", Thiago will soon return to work as an assistant within the coaching staff for the current season, to strengthen Flick's team, which is seeking to achieve technical stability after a shaky start to the season.

Thiago had previously participated in the coaching staff during the summer preparations for the last season, where he played an important role as a close assistant to Flick during his first weeks with the team.

It is noteworthy that Thiago's last day with the coaching staff was on August 16, 2024, after he completed his training as a coach as announced by the club, and he accompanied the team on the American tour, before Arnau Blanco later took over his duties.
