Didier Deschamps, the head coach of the French national team, announced today, Wednesday, the list of players called up for the upcoming international break in September.
The French team will play against their Ukrainian and Icelandic counterparts on September 5 and 9 in the World Cup qualifiers.
The list saw the absence of some names, most notably Kolo Muani and Hugo Ekitike.
The squad is as follows:
Goalkeepers: Lucas Chevalier, Mike Maignan, Brice Samba.
Defenders: Lucas Digne, Malo Gusto, Lucas Hernandez, Theo Hernandez, Ibrahima Konate, Jules Kounde, William Saliba, Dayot Upamecano.
Midfielders: Désiré Doué, Kone, Adrien Rabiot, Aurélien Tchouaméni, Khephren Thuram.
