Hoeneß Chooses Harry Kane as the Best Deal in Bayern Munich's History

Bayern Munich, one of the world's largest football clubs since winning its first three UEFA Champions League titles in the 1970s, is experiencing a renewed discussion about the best deals in the club's history, amidst a number of legendary names that have contributed to its glory.

Many agree that Franz Beckenbauer is the most prominent figure in the history of Bayern Munich, while Gerd Müller is considered one of the greatest strikers in football history. Alongside them are a group of stars who contributed to building the club's global identity, such as Uli Hoeneß and Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, who later became influential figures in the club's management.

This controversy arises amidst the remarkable performance of Harry Kane, who joined Bayern Munich in 2023 from Tottenham Hotspur for 100 million euros. He scored 146 goals in 147 matches over three years, earning him widespread acclaim within the Bavarian club.

The "DAZAN" network quoted statements from Uli Hoeneß, in which he said that Harry Kane is the best signing in Bayern Munich's history, referring to his significant impact on the team since joining.

On the other hand, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge stated that Manuel Neuer is the most important signing in the club's history, explaining that acquiring a goalkeeper of this caliber and having him stay for 15 years represents exceptional value. He also pointed out that Robert Lewandowski played a crucial role in the team's history.

Lewandowski's departure from Bayern Munich in 2022 to join Barcelona left a noticeable impact on the German club, even though his remarkable goal-scoring career remains present, having scored 344 goals in 375 matches, making him the second-highest scorer in Bayern's history behind Gerd Müller.

The German newspaper "Bild" referred to a survey in which more than 38,000 people participated. It showed Harry Kane leading the list with 27%, followed by Gerd Müller with 20%, then Manuel Neuer with 17%, while Lewandowski came in fourth with 12%.

The rest of the results showed Arjen Robben and Franck Ribéry each with 6%, Lothar Matthäus with 4%, Oliver Kahn and Joshua Kimmich with 3%, while Uli Hoeneß had 2% and Karl-Heinz Rummenigge had 1%.
