Tuesday 02-06-2026
Spanish press reports revealed that Spanish midfielder Rodri was offered to Real Madrid recently, but the club's management, led by Florentino Perez, does not prioritize signing the Manchester City star at the moment.

According to journalist Mario Cortegana, Real Madrid officials do not plan to move to sign Rodri at the moment, despite the player's significant status and abilities that have made him one of the best midfielders in the world.

This comes as Enrique Riquelme, the candidate for the presidency of Real Madrid, continues to promote the idea of signing Rodri, having previously stated that the Spanish international would be the club's first signing in the summer transfer window if he wins the upcoming presidential elections.

For his part, Rodri is under contract with Manchester City until the summer of 2027, amid reports indicating the player's desire to embark on a new experience and move to Real Madrid in the coming years.

The Royal Club plans to sign a creative midfielder who can control the midfield and playmaking, similar to Luka Modric and Toni Kroos.

It is noted that the Royal Club is finalizing the deals for Denzel Dumfries, the right-back from Inter, and the French defender Ibrahima Konaté.
