Al Hilal Changes Stance on Selling Cancelo
Barcelona continues its negotiations with Saudi club Al Hilal regarding the future of Portuguese full-back João Cancelo, in discussions that are frequently conducted through the players' agent Jorge Mendes, who manages several matters between the two parties.
The Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo" reported that Al-Hilal Club is no longer insisting on the initial price of 15 million euros it was asking for to agree to Cancelo's departure, having become more flexible in its position recently.
This development comes at a time when Cancelo does not wish to return to the Saudi league, and his relationship with coach Simone Inzaghi does not seem good, which increases the likelihood of his departure, with the timing and financial terms still under discussion between the parties.
The newspaper added that the agent Jorge Mendes also manages other files related to the two clubs, including the possibility of Barcelona player Marc Casado transferring to Al-Hilal, given that he is no longer in coach Hans Flick's plans.
The report also indicated that forward Darwin Núñez, one of Mendes' clients, might be among the options available in the transfer market, linking this to Barcelona's potential moves to sign Julián Álvarez.
