Kassado's Position on Leaving Barcelona
Wednesday 27-08-2025
Coach Hans Flick has caused confusion in the plans of clubs interested in acquiring Marc Kassado after publicly confirming his commitment and desire for him to remain with Barcelona.

Flick stated in press remarks: "I spoke with him, he does not want to leave, and I do not want him to leave. The season will be tough, and we need all players. He gives us confidence, and that is what I want as a coach."

Although Kassado insists on his desire to stay, his surroundings are monitoring the developments in the last week of the transfer market, amid a feeling that there are opinions within the club that do not oppose selling him, given the financial pressures Barcelona is facing.

So far, the player has not requested to leave, and the club does not intend to listen to offers unless he changes his position. Additionally, Flick's recent statements, along with Kassado's starting participation against Levante, have contributed to freezing negotiations with several clubs that were interested in his services.

West Ham has started looking for a replacement and is close to signing Magasa from Monaco, while communications with Atletico Madrid have stopped since last week. Chelsea and Wolverhampton have also temporarily suspended their interest, waiting to see how things will unfold within Barcelona.
