The Spanish newspaper "AS" confirmed that Polish star Robert Lewandowski is ready to return to the pitch, and he is expected to be with Barcelona in the match against Levante, in the second round of La Liga, next Saturday.

Lewandowski suffered a hamstring injury in his left leg during team training on August 8, and the club only announced that he felt muscular discomfort at the time, without specifying the duration of his absence, only excluding him from the Joan Gamper Cup.

However, "AS" clarified earlier that the injury was more complicated, which led to estimating his absence at three weeks and missing the start of La Liga.

Nevertheless, the recovery process has progressed better than expected, as the player is expected to join group training early next week, and he will receive medical clearance to participate on Friday, which means the absence period has been reduced to just over two weeks.

Moreover, Lewandowski's return provides coach Hans Flick with a strong attacking option, especially since he was the team's top scorer last season with 42 goals. However, Flick will have to make a tough decision regarding the starting striker, given the impressive scoring performance that Ferran Torres has been delivering since last season.
