Juan Garcia is officially part of FC Barcelona's roster after being registered with the Spanish league, making him available for coach Hans Flick in the opening match against Real Mallorca today.
The newspaper "Mundo Deportivo" confirmed that Barcelona took advantage of the medical committee's decision in La Liga, considering Ter Stegen's injury a long-term one, to benefit from 80% of the German goalkeeper's salary, which allowed the club to register Garcia without needing to re-register him in January, as was previously done with Dani Olmo and Pau Victor.
Although Garcia appears on La Liga's official website as part of Barcelona's roster, he has not yet received a shirt number, while Inaki Pena has been registered with number 1, and both Garcia and Ter Stegen still lack an official number.
The registration of the deals for Marcus Rashford and Szczesny is still pending, awaiting La Liga's approval of the financial guarantees, especially concerning the sale of VIP seats at Spotify Camp Nou for 100 million euros, which could allow the club to return to the 1.1 financial fair play rule and register all its players.
