Lewandowski's Absence from the Match Against Real Mallorca
Thursday 14-08-2025
Spanish newspaper 'Mundo Deportivo' reported that Polish star Robert Lewandowski will officially miss Barcelona's match against Real Mallorca, scheduled for Saturday evening, in the first round of the Spanish league for the new 2025/2026 season.

The newspaper confirmed that Lewandowski did not participate in the team's training this week, including Thursday's session, due to suffering from muscle pain in the hamstring of his left leg, an injury that also prevented him from participating in the Joan Gamper Cup.

Coach Hans Flick is expected to rely on Ferran Torres in the starting lineup, given the absence of the Polish striker. Additionally, the duo Koundé and Marc Casado did not participate in Thursday's training, but their absence was a precautionary measure for load management and does not threaten their participation in the match.

On another note, goalkeeper Juan Garcia will travel with the team, while Marcus Rashford will miss the match.
