Former Al Ahly Star Criticizes Ribeiro: Chose the Worst Solutions
Diaa El-Sayed, the former Egyptian football star, confirmed that Jose Ribeiro, the coach of Al Ahly, chose the worst solutions with the large number of stars that the Red team has during the match against Modern Sport.
The match between Al Ahly and Modern Sport, which took place last night, Saturday, in the first round of the Egyptian Premier League, ended in a positive draw of 2-2.
Diaa El-Sayed said on the program 'Plus 90' on Al-Nahar channel: 'There were clear mistakes from Al Ahly's defense, and Mustafa Shobeir should have sent the ball long into the field, especially since there was a lot of pressure from the players of Modern Sport.'
He added: 'I consider the second goal for Al Ahly's defense a 'disgrace' that a defender from Modern could score in the midst of three Al Ahly players, and from the first match of the league, the evaluation of Jose Ribeiro will begin after he had a long time since the Club World Cup, and he also went through a preparation period with the team.'
He continued: 'Ribeiro chose the worst solutions with the large number of stars that Al Ahly has, and the best way to play is 3-4-3, given that they have good players capable of making a difference, but Ribeiro evaluates the players' abilities incorrectly.'
He added: 'Most of the choices today were not good, and Ben Sharqi made a difference, and it was essential to have Aliou Dieng in the starting lineup for the match, and Al Ahly provided many stars for the coach, but the composition on the pitch was not good.'
