Flick Suspended for Barcelona's First Champions League Match
UEFA has decided to suspend Flick for one match, as well as his assistant Markus Sorg, following incidents that occurred during the second leg of the Champions League semi-final against Inter Milan last season.
They were fined €20,000 for violating general principles of conduct and breaching standards of proper behavior last season.
According to UEFA regulations, Flick and Sorg violated Article 11(1) of the Disciplinary Regulations, which requires adherence to principles of ethical conduct and integrity, and Article 11(2)(b), which prohibits abusive behavior or violations of standards of proper conduct, due to their protests against the refereeing during the match between Barcelona and Inter Milan.
