Player agent Hazem Fattouh confirmed that former Al Ahly player and current Columbus Crew player Wisam Abu Ali rejected an enticing offer worth $8 million to join one of the Saudi clubs.
Fattouh said in his statements: "I brought a Saudi offer for Wisam Abu Ali before the FIFA Club World Cup, and Al Ahly was open to selling at that time."
He added: "The Saudi offer was worth $8 million, but Wisam rejected it because he preferred to pursue a European professional experience, and he was aware of an offer from the American league, which had been his goal from the beginning."
Abu Ali had confirmed in his statements that playing for Columbus Crew in the United States is a step towards joining one of the major European clubs.
