Barcelona Prepares Ter Stegen's Medical Report to Register New Signings
Sunday 03-08-2025
The Spanish club Barcelona is working on preparing the medical report for German goalkeeper Andre Ter Stegen, in order to send it to the Spanish Football League, to temporarily exclude him from the team’s roster for the 2025/2026 season and register new signings.

Ter Stegen recently underwent successful surgery to treat lower back pain he has been experiencing, with the club expecting him to be out for a period ranging from 4 to 5 months.

According to the Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo", Deco, the club's sporting director, will meet with Ter Stegen after returning from the Korean tour to obtain his signature on the medical report and explain its details before officially submitting it to La Liga.

Barcelona has requested the medical staff to prepare an accurate report regarding the expected duration of absence, to avoid facing any future penalties in case the player violates the duration specified in the report.

Barcelona recently announced the signing of goalkeeper Juan Garcia on a 6-season contract, along with English winger Marcus Rashford coming from Manchester United on a one-season loan.
