Flick Praises Barcelona's Performance in 7-3 Victory Against Seoul
Barcelona coach Hans Flick appeared in a press conference after the 7-3 victory against FC Seoul in their second friendly match as part of preparations for the new season, in a match held today, Thursday, at the Seoul World Cup Stadium.
The coach said: "We started the first half well, then we were a bit lacking in enthusiasm, but we came back strong. The second half was good as well; we saw a great performance from Gavi, Ferran, Marcos, and even Gerard Martin who played in an unusual position for him."
Regarding Gavi wearing the captain's armband in the second half of the match, he stated: "What I saw from Gavi is exactly what I want to see; he led the team with high spirit and was decisive. He is fantastic in both the 6 and 8 positions and can play efficiently in either one."
Flick confirmed that he gave opportunities to several young players, while others, like Dour, did not participate, pointing out that this was part of rotation and physical care, saying: "Every player had 45 minutes, and we preferred to rest Eric and Inigo due to some physical discomforts. The most important thing is that we came out without injuries and I am very happy with the performance."
