Al-Ahly Refuses Imam Ashour's Departure and Decides to Amend His Contract
Ahmed Hassan, the former Zamalek star, revealed that Al-Ahly has rejected the offers made for Imam Ashour and is insistent on keeping the player within the team.
Hassan stated on Facebook: "A source at Al-Ahly: We have received official offers for Imam Ashour's services, but the club rejected them and decided to amend his contract after the team's vacation ends."
Media figure Medhat Shalaby had confirmed Imam Ashour's desire to amend his contract with Al-Ahly.
Ashour has informed Al-Ahly's management of his wish to receive a financial compensation equivalent to what duo Ahmed Sayed Zizo and Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet receive.
