Spanish newspaper "Sport" reported that FC Barcelona has included Atalanta winger Ademola Lookman in their list of candidates to bolster the attack during the current summer transfer window, as the club seeks to sign a top-quality winger at the request of coach Hans Flick.

The newspaper clarified that Flick admires Lookman due to his speed and ability to play in all attacking positions, but his contractual situation is relatively complicated, as he currently has a strained relationship with Atalanta.

Nevertheless, the Italian club may open the door for his sale for less than 50 million euros, especially since his contract expires in 2027 and has not yet been renewed, with strong interest from Tottenham in signing the player as well.

"Sport" pointed out that Barcelona continues to monitor the situation without making any official moves yet, as the club faces another obstacle in that Lookman shares an agency representation with Marc-André ter Stegen, who is pushing to stay, which may complicate the negotiation dynamics for the Nigerian player.

The report confirmed that Barcelona's management currently prioritizes reducing salaries and getting rid of some heavy contracts before finalizing the new winger deal, especially since the deal will be significant financially, and the club expects negotiations to extend until August due to the complexity of the options presented.
