Gulf Club is nearing a significant deal to sign goalkeeper Anthony Morris, the star of Union Saint-Gilloise, who recently won the Belgian league title after a 90-year absence.

Informed sources reported that talks between the Gulf management and the Belgian club have entered critical stages, following an official offer that includes paying the buyout clause in the veteran goalkeeper's contract.

This move comes to compensate for the departure of Bosnian goalkeeper Ibrahim Sehic, with whom the eastern club ended its contractual relationship as part of the team's restructuring in preparation for the upcoming season.

Anthony Morris, who is 35 years old, has an impressive record, having participated in 232 official matches, keeping a clean sheet on 81 occasions, while conceding 239 goals.
