Match officials for today in Saudi Pro League
The Referees Committee of the Saudi Football Federation has announced the officiating teams for three upcoming matches in the seventh round of the Saudi Pro League, amidst strong competition for the top positions.
The Salvadoran referee Iván Barton has been appointed to officiate the match between Al-Taawoun and Al-Hilal, with his compatriots David Moran and Henry Bopero assisting him, while Saudi referee Farih Al-Jalaoud will take on the role of fourth official.
Bastian Dankert has taken charge of the VAR during the match between Al-Taawoun and Al-Hilal, as Al-Hilal seeks to compensate for their recent loss against Neom and get back to winning ways.
Al-Hilal are in third place with 15 points from 6 matches, while Al Taawoun sit in fourteenth with 3 points, having not achieved a victory since the start of the season.
The Saudi Pro League match between Al-Nassr and Al Khaleej will be officiated by international referee Faisal Al-Balawi, assisted by Faisal Al-Qahtani and Ibrahim Al-Dakhil, while Ahmad Al-Rumaikhani will serve as the fourth official.
Abdullah Al-Harbi will officiate the VAR room for the match between Al-Nassr and Al Khaleej, assisted by Hamid Al-Ahmari. Al-Nassr enters the encounter with 15 points, sitting in fourth place.
Al Nassr aim to collect three points against Al Khaleej to strengthen their position in the title race and continue their strong start in the Saudi Pro League, while Al Khaleej are looking to improve their results after gathering 4 points, placing them in 13th position.
In another match of the same round, Saudi referee Abdullah Al-Owaidan will officiate the game between Al-Shabab and Al-Faihah, while his compatriot Mohammed Al-Ghamdi will assist in the VAR room.
The seventh round matches come amid a tight battle in the Saudi Pro League table, making refereeing decisions crucial in the games involving Al-Hilal, Al-Nassr, and Al-Shabab during this stage of the competition.
