Spanish media reports have revealed the stance of Spanish international Ferran Torres, Barcelona's forward, regarding his continuation with the team for the upcoming 2025/2026 season, amid Aston Villa's interest in signing him during the summer transfer window.

Barcelona is preparing to start its training for the new season on Sunday, July 13, under the leadership of German coach Hans Flick, who aims to continue the domestic successes achieved by the team last season, winning the Spanish league, the King's Cup, and the Super Cup.

Previous reports indicated Aston Villa's desire to sign Torres for €50 million, at the request of the team's coach Unai Emery to strengthen their attack, following their failure to qualify for the Champions League next season.

According to the Spanish newspaper "Sport", Ferran Torres is keen to stay at Barcelona and hopes to secure a starting position in Flick's lineup, especially with Robert Lewandowski aging at 37 years old.

The newspaper confirmed that Flick does not intend to part with Torres, who is 25 years old, due to his high potential, especially after he excelled last season by scoring 19 goals and providing 7 assists, with his contract continuing until 2027.
