Juventus Reaches Agreement with Emiliano Martinez
Juventus is close to finalizing a deal to sign Argentine goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez, having reached a preliminary agreement with the Aston Villa player for a transfer during the summer transfer window.
Reports published by "Tutto Sport" and "Corriere dello Sport" newspapers, alongside the "Sky Sport Italia" network, stated that Martinez agreed to sign a three-season contract with the Italian club.
According to the same sources, the 33-year-old goalkeeper agreed to receive an annual salary of 5 million euros, which is less than his current salary with Aston Villa, reflecting his desire to embark on a new experience.
Luciano Spalletti, the head coach of Juventus, is looking for an experienced goalkeeper to strengthen the team's ranks, but the final agreement with Aston Villa has not yet been finalized.
The "Corriere dello Sport" newspaper indicated that the English club is asking for about 10 million euros to part with its goalkeeper, while "Sky Sport Italia" explained that Juventus is seeking to complete the deal at the lowest possible cost, taking advantage of the player's desire to move to Turin.
Despite Martinez being under contract with Aston Villa until 2029, "Tutto Sport" reported that Juventus management hopes to reach a suitable economic agreement that would allow the deal to be completed under favorable financial terms.
