Details of Fati's Loan from Barcelona to Monaco
Spanish newspaper "Sport" revealed that FC Barcelona has reached a final agreement with French club Monaco regarding the loan of young winger Ansu Fati for one season, with an official announcement of the deal expected in the coming hours.
Under the agreement, Monaco will bear 3.7 million euros of the player's net salary, which provides Barcelona with a financial saving of nearly 8 million euros from Fati's total salary of 12 million euros annually. This move is part of the club's efforts to alleviate financial burdens and open the door for new signings.
The contract includes a non-mandatory purchase option for Monaco valued at 11 million euros, while Barcelona retains a percentage of any future transfer fee for the player. The current agreement does not include a clause allowing the Catalan club to buy back Fati in the future.
Ansu Fati had several offers from clubs within and outside the Spanish league, including from the Saudi league, but he preferred to move to Monaco after a recommendation from his agent Jorge Mendes, as he was convinced by the sports project of the French club and his desire to regain his best form in an environment that suits his football aspirations.
