Shobair: Al-Ahly Will Not Sign This Trio
Ahmed Shobair, the former Al-Ahly star, confirmed that the club's management has decided against signing several players.
Shobair stated via "On Sport FM": "Al-Ahly had gains in the match against Pachuca from Mexico, the most important gain being Ahmed Ramadan Beckham, because the playing style of Ribeiro, the team's coach, relies on someone like Beckham."
He added: "Thus, Al-Ahly has almost solved the defenders' problem. Beckham was on the bench and achieved tremendous success when he played in the second half. I believe Ribeiro will think very carefully about who to start with after this experience."
He continued: "Al-Ahly was considering signing Mahmoud El-Gazzar from Bank Al-Ahly or Amr El-Gazzar, the defender from Ghazl El-Mahalla, and also thought about Yassin Marai from Pharco, but in the end, they settled on Ahmed Ramadan Beckham, as he fits Ribeiro's playing style, the team's coach."
