Khaled Bebo, the former football director at Al Ahly, confirmed that Hamza Alaa, the goalkeeper for the red team, has been evading the renewal of his contract with the club.

The player's contract with Al Ahly ends at the end of the current season.

Khaled Bebo stated on Al Ahly channel: "I asked Hamza Alaa for a meeting to renew his contract, he said (my agent is my father, my father is sick, my father is undergoing surgery, I won’t talk in my father’s presence)."

He added: "I had a meeting with Hamza Alaa, him and his brother, and we reached an agreement regarding the contract renewal, and he told me (I won’t finalize it unless my father is present), I spent a year at the club waiting for his father, waiting for Hamza's father to recover or show up, he keeps evading all the time."
