Shubert: Pyramids is the top contender to win the league
Ahmad Shubert, the former star of Al Ahly, believes that the result of the match between Al Ahly and Haras El Hodood is not a measure and that Pyramids is the closest to winning the league title this season.
Al Ahly achieved a significant victory over Haras El Hodood with a score of 5-0 in a match held last Sunday as part of the fourth round of the decisive phase of the Egyptian Premier League.
Al Ahly is preparing to face Al Masry on Thursday in the fifth round of the decisive phase of the league.
Shubert said via On Sport FM: "Al Ahly's formation will be the same as the match against Haras, and Nahhas will give a chance to Ali Maaloul, Hussein El Shahat, Afsha, and Mostafa El Ash, especially with the injury of Ashraf Dari, and the bruise that affected Rami Rabia."
He added: "The match against Haras El Hodood is not a measure, because many Al Ahly fans say that the league is in the island, but definitely Pyramids is the top contender at this moment to win the league, as they are one point ahead of Al Ahly and seven points ahead of Zamalek."
