Shobeir Comments on Maaloul's Exclusion
Ahmed Shobeir, the former Al Ahly star, made a fiery comment regarding the exclusion of Ali Maaloul from the traveling Al Ahly squad to South Africa.
Al Ahly traveled in the early hours of Wednesday morning to South Africa to face Sundowns in the first leg of the CAF Champions League semi-finals scheduled for next Saturday.
Shobeir said via "On Sport FM": "I am surprised by the exclusion of Ali Maaloul from the Al Ahly squad traveling to South Africa, not for any particular reason, but there are some psychological matters involved, even if you are not going to play or if you will put him outside the team during the match."
He added: "You have to make him feel his value because Ali is a great player and significant in the team, but in the end, it’s a technical point of view at the end."
