Fermin: Qualifying for the semifinals was important, and we knew this

Fermin Lopez, Barcelona's midfielder, spoke to the media after the 3-1 loss to Borussia Dortmund in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals, noting that the first leg ended with Barcelona winning 4-0.

The player said: "We knew it would be a tough match, even though we played the first leg. Our match wasn't easy, but we struggled at times."

Regarding qualifying for the semifinals, he said: "It was a very important goal; we were excited after many years of the club failing to reach the final (6 years). We hope to perform excellently in the semifinals and reach the final."
