The journalist Alaa Al-Ghatreef, editor-in-chief of "Al-Masry Al-Youm", spoke about the joining of Ashraf Ben Sharqi to Al-Ahly and the exclusion of Imam Ashour from the national team list in March.

Al-Ghatreef said during the program "Al-Kalam Al-Madboot" on "On Sport FM": "Imam Ashour has been delivering outstanding performances consistently with Al-Ahly."

He added: "We should give space and appreciation to the head coach Hossam Hassan and his choices for the national team, but Imam Ashour has been performing well lately."

He continued: "Although I am a Zamalek fan, no one can deny that Imam Ashour is one of the most important players in Egypt."

Regarding Zizo's renewal with Zamalek, Al-Ghatreef stated: "I am not concerned about the story of player renewals, as clubs do not rely on a single player."

Concerning Ben Sharqi's transfer to Al-Ahly, he said: "I used to really like Ben Sharqi, but I was not sad about his joining the red castle, because it is a professional move."
