Flick: It's hard to answer this question, and tomorrow's match is tough

Barcelona coach Hans Flick appeared at a press conference to talk about tomorrow's match against Osasuna in the 27th round of La Liga.

The coach said: "As I always say, I expect a tough match. It will be a different game from the first round encounter, but we will be ready. Tomorrow's match is different from the first round match; many changes have occurred since then. For me, it is important to have the best team. I believe we have reached another level now and I have a positive approach for tomorrow."

He added: "We have not yet decided whether we will rotate, but we have to do it. It is important, but it is also important to have the best team. We have been able to handle it so far and hope to continue doing so."

He continued: "Are you happy with Szczęsny after his brilliance against Benfica? It is his job, like anyone else's, to defend it. But that is their job. That is why Ter Stegen is number one now."

He added: "Did you think that a player returning from retirement could reach this level? I am not the only one who decides. In the coaching staff, we talk about the players. Sometimes we have a feeling and believe he can reach this level. In the end, I am the one who decides, but I always consult those around me."

He further stated: "I am proud of the team because they respond well in any situation, and that gives me confidence. We are doing well, and I hope we can maintain this in the coming weeks."

Regarding the possibility of resting Pedri: "We will see what he does tomorrow. He is very professional. His daily behavior is excellent; he does everything he can to recover. You can see that on the pitch. He is at an incredible level. He gives us strength. Tomorrow we will ask him how he feels and see what decision he will make."

He followed up: "The important thing is to have a positive outlook. If you focus negatively, that is not a good idea. I think our philosophy is good. We want to play as we have played before. I believe that is the approach we should have. Because we have succeeded well."

He expressed: "What is the best and worst thing you have done since becoming the coach of Barcelona? It is a difficult question. I do not have much time to think about it. We all make mistakes, and we all do good things too. But I do not want to think about that."

What is the difference between being a coach at Barcelona and Bayern Munich? I think that when we started here, we knew how we wanted to play after analyzing the players. I was honest with Deco, and he was honest with me. From the start, it was a good beginning. I see the players happy. There is a special atmosphere in the dressing room, and that is the most important thing for me. The difference is huge. Everyone cares for one another, and I love that. There is a good atmosphere between the players and the coaching staff. They believe in this plan, and that helps me manage it well. We always focus on what we can do.
