Tebas: Barcelona will not fall due to the Nigra case
Javier Tebas, president of the La Liga Association, spoke of the possibility of Barcelona if a sporting corruption was accused in the "Nigrara" case.
"We asked to refer the case of the Neghera trial, because we believe that there is sufficient evidence that Barcelona committed a crime of sporting corruption by pushing to Nigrara with the aim of influencing the rise and decline of the rulers, and this in our opinion is sufficient to consider that there is sports corruption."
He added: "Barcelona decline?
He concluded: "The penalty for the crime of sports corruption has many nuances, and I will not go into many details because we will need to review the criminal law, but in short, the penalties can range from the solution of the entity or the commercial company to financial fines."
Barcelona had paid 1.4 million to a company owned by Jose Maria Enriquez Nigrara, the former vice president of the Referees Committee, between 2001-2018.
