About the Team

Japan. The Japan national football team is the official representative of Japan in international tournaments, and it is overseen by the Japan Football Association (JFA), which was established in 1921 and joined FIFA in 1929. The Japanese national team is one of the most prominent Asian teams, having qualified for the World Cup finals continuously since 1998, and it has made a strong presence in the AFC Asian Cup, winning the tournament four times (1992, 2000, 2004, 2011).
