About the Team

United Arab Emirates. The UAE national team is nicknamed 'The White'. Their first match was on March 17, 1972, against Qatar, and they won 1–0. The team is a member of FIFA and the Asian Football Confederation, and it is overseen by the UAE Football Association, which was established in 1971. The UAE participated in the World Cup in the 1990 edition in Italy, and the United Arab Emirates finished fourth in the 1992 Asian Cup, as well as achieving second place in 1996 when they hosted the tournament. The UAE won the Arabian Gulf Cup in 2007 and 2013.
