Saudi Arabia win the Gulf Cup for the fourth time against the United Arab Emirates
Saudi Arabia clinched the Gulf Cup 27 final against the United Arab Emirates with a score of 2-0 during the match held on Tuesday evening at the Al-Inma Stadium in Jeddah, crowning the Green with the title.
Hammam Al-Hammami opened the scoring for Saudi Arabia in the 11th minute, before Feras Al-Buraikan doubled the lead just two minutes later, taking advantage of the early dominance of the Green Falcons against the United Arab Emirates.
Saudi Arabia nearly added a third goal in the 16th minute through Saleh Abu Shamat, while Jimenez missed a chance to reduce the deficit for the United Arab Emirates in the 23rd minute.
The second half saw Mohammed Al-Owais shine, as he saved a dangerous cross in the 47th minute, then denied a clear chance for the United Arab Emirates in the 59th minute, while Mohamed Kanno missed a third opportunity for Saudi Arabia in the 67th minute.
In the final minute, the match saw skirmishes between players from both teams, during which Moroccan referee Jalal Jaid showed a yellow card to Hammam Al-Hammami and issued a red card to one of the players from the United Arab Emirates on the bench.
