Ahead of Gulf Cup 27 final: What has Donis achieved in 9 previous finals?

Georgios Donis, the head coach of the Saudi national team, is set to face the United Arab Emirates tomorrow, Tuesday, at the Al-Inma Stadium in Jeddah, in search of winning the Gulf Cup 27.

The Greek coach has previously appeared in 9 finals during his career, but he has not succeeded in winning all the encounters, having emerged victorious in 4 finals and lost 5 others.

His four titles include the King Cup, the King Abdulaziz Cup, the Crown Prince Cup, and the Saudi Super Cup, leaving a clear mark in decisive matches.

The Gulf Cup 27 final holds special significance for Donis as it marks his first appearance in a final match with the Saudi national team since taking charge of the Green Falcons and targeting competition for the Gulf title.

Saudi Arabia secured a place in the final after overcoming Qatar on penalties following a goalless draw, while the United Arab Emirates advanced at the expense of Oman with a single goal. The match in Jeddah presents a new opportunity for Donis to add another title to his record.
