Thursday 07-11-2024

The coach of the French club Nice, Frank Hayes, excluded Egyptian defender Mohamed Abdel Moneim from the team’s list selected to face Dutch club Twente, in today’s European League competitions.

This exclusion came due to Mohamed Abdel Moneim suffering an injury during the past few hours, in group training that was held yesterday, Wednesday, as the player felt pain behind his left knee, and the player is scheduled to undergo medical examinations in the coming hours to determine the extent of his injury.

The Egyptian defender moved to the French team Nice, during the summer transfer period, coming from the Egyptian club Al-Ahly, in a deal worth 5 million euros.

Also, Abdel Moneim’s beginnings were not good with his current team, but he was able to obtain a starting place in the lineup during the previous matches, and he performed well, and was one of the most prominent players on the team.

It is noteworthy that the French club Nice will face its rival, the Dutch club Twente, today, in the fourth round of the European League, at the Allianz Riviera Stadium, at 7:45 pm Egypt time.
