Amoura scores and leads Nice to victory over Lille in Ligue 1

Nice returned to winning ways at their Allianz Riviera stadium, defeating Lille 2-1 on Sunday, in the fifth round of Ligue 1.

Nice opened the scoring in the 22nd minute with an own goal from Nathan Nguimou, before Algerian Mohamed El Amine Amoura added the second for the hosts in the 67th minute, marking his first goal for Nice.

Lille attempted to come back in the match, with Japanese player Ayase Ueda reducing the deficit in the 79th minute, but Nice held on to their lead until the final whistle to secure three important points.

Amoura put in a strong performance during the match, playing a key role in Nice's victory, who finally managed to secure a win at home, while Lille returned empty-handed despite their efforts in the closing minutes.
