Nice clarifies Abdelmonem's situation after leaving Egypt national team camp

French club Nice announced today, Thursday, that their Egyptian defender Mohamed Abdelmonem has left the Egypt national team camp. This decision was made in coordination and agreement between the club and the national team's coaching staff, with the aim of preserving the player's readiness and physical safety.

Nice has clarified in an official statement that the decision was made in light of the circumstances under which the next match in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers was set to take place, particularly its hosting on an artificial turf pitch, alongside the mutual desire to avoid risking the player's health.

The French club confirmed it is continuously working to provide the best conditions for its international players to join their national teams and represent them, paying special attention to their health, recovery, and physical safety. It also praised the cooperation and understanding with the coaching staff of the Egypt national team during Mohamed Abdelmonem's time with the squad.

Nice has confirmed that Mohamed Abdelmonem will continue working with the club in preparation for upcoming challenges.
