
Moataz Abdullah, the former UAE and Al Ain national team goalkeeper, believes that his team can overcome Al-Ahly of Egypt in the upcoming confrontation between them in the 2024 Intercontinental Club Championship.
Moataz said, in his statements today, Sunday, that Al Ain Club has a new project and is attracting young stars and not senior players, in an experience similar to what Borussia Dortmund is doing.
He explained, that Al Ain only lacks the experience of such players, and their lack of participation for long periods.
He added: “Al Ain appears strong in important tournaments, as it did against Al Hilal Saudi Arabia in the semi-finals of the league.” The Asian champions last edition, and the matter will be repeated against Al-Ahly.”
He continued: “What is important about the Al-Ahly team is teamwork, and this is its strength, and he put himself in this position in order to win the championship.”
