Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola appeared in a press conference, to talk about Sunday’s confrontation against Arsenal, in the fifth round of the English Premier League.

The coach said about Arsenal: “Arsenal is becoming a stronger team every season, and the depth of the team is increasing. Even the season is getting better and better.”

And about the main development made by Arsenal: “You can ask him ( Mikel Arteta), because if I say something they will say that I am playing mind games or something like that, and I am not good at it.”

He stressed: “I have always had an opinion.” High on Arteta and his team. The two years were close, but we were also strong, and we are still strong.”

And on Phil Foden: “Everyone needs a break. He was better A player in the league last season, so of course we need him, to create competition and fight with the other midfielders and wingers.”

He continued: “His density, pressure, and movement in small spaces are great.” One of the best in the world, so you can imagine how happy I am to have him back. Yes, I think he is ready [to play 90 minutes].”

And about the players’ strike due to the large number of matches: “I agree, perhaps for the first time, that many voices speak for the players. I'm pretty sure that if something is going to change, it has to come from the players. They are the only ones who can change something.”

He concluded: “A business can continue without managers, sporting directors, media and owners, but without players you cannot play. The only ones who have the ability to do this are the players.”
