Arsenal and Manchester City Clash with Newcastle's High Valuation of Livramento
TEAMtalk reported that Arsenal and Manchester City are still interested in signing English full-back Tino Livramento from Newcastle United, but are currently unwilling to meet the high financial demands set by the club.
The report explained that Newcastle values Livramento very highly and considers him a cornerstone of their future project, to the extent that his value might exceed the world record fee for a right-back, which was set by Achraf Hakimi's transfer to Paris Saint-Germain for £58 million in 2021.
The same source indicated that both clubs continue to monitor the 23-year-old player, but have also started exploring other alternatives due to the difficulty of reaching an agreement with Newcastle given the asking price.
It also mentioned that there are reservations within Arsenal and Manchester City about the player's physical condition following a season in which he suffered several injuries, significantly reducing his appearances.
The report confirmed that Newcastle does not intend to sell the player at present and is firm on its high valuation, with an internal belief that his value will increase in the future.
