Real Madrid Moves to Sign Calafiori

Sky Sports Italia reported that Real Madrid officials have contacted Arsenal's management to inquire about Calafiori's situation and the possibility of completing his transfer this summer, amid growing interest in acquiring the Italian international.

This move comes after reports indicated that José Mourinho, who is close to taking over as coach of Real Madrid following Florentino Pérez's re-election as club president, has prioritized Calafiori to strengthen the defense.

The source clarified that communications between the two clubs are still in their initial stages and have not yet gone beyond inquiries and gauging interest, without entering into official negotiations regarding the value or terms of the deal.

At the same time, Real Madrid continues to work on strengthening its squad, as it prepares to complete the signing of Dutch full-back Denzel Dumfries from Inter Milan, taking advantage of the release clause in the player's contract, which is valued at around 20 million euros.
