Chelsea begin search for Enzo Fernández replacement
Chelsea have begun to explore alternative options to strengthen their midfield, after their attempts to secure a number of targeted signings faltered during the final stages of last summer's transfer window.
The London club was aiming to sign Lamine Camara to compensate for the departure of Enzo Fernández, but the failure to secure his preferred options forced him to reassess his plans and look for new opportunities ahead of the winter transfer window in January.
According to reports, Chelsea's list of interests includes four players, led by Everton's Harrison Armstrong and Newcastle's Lewis Miley, alongside Fulham's Josh King and Arsenal's Myles Lewis-Skelly.
Chelsea's scouting department continues to monitor several players and assess their potential, aiming to identify the most suitable elements for the team's technical needs, as strengthening the midfield remains one of the club's main priorities.
Chelsea are expected to clarify their transfer plans as the winter transfer window approaches, as the club seeks to find suitable solutions to strengthen their options in midfield.
