Chelsea close the door on Ashimbonge's departure and prepare to secure him with a new contract

Chelsea are holding on to young defender Josh Ashimbonge, as he is seen as one of the indispensable elements and a key part of the club's long-term project and vision.

According to journalist Bobby Vincent, Chelsea's management views Ashimbonge as one of the important talents they wish to keep and are not considering letting him go in the near future.

This situation arises amid the development shown by the young defender and his ability to play in multiple positions in the backline, which gives him additional importance within the coaching staff's considerations.

Chelsea are expected to move to open negotiations regarding the player's contract renewal, especially since his current contract runs until 2029, in a move aimed at securing his future at Stamford Bridge.
