Flick's options to replace Rodri

Hans Flick, the manager of FC Barcelona, is searching for a replacement to compensate for Rodri's absence, who suffered a hamstring injury in his right leg that will keep him out of action for nearly three weeks.

According to "Mundo Deportivo", Marc Bernal is the top option available, having previously started several matches during Rodri's absence, and he can play alongside Pedri.

Frenkie de Jong is another option for Flick after returning to participate in El Clásico. He started the match against Alavés as a central defender before sitting on the bench against Aston Villa in the UEFA Champions League.

As the German coach previously relied on Gavi in the matches against Elche and Real Betis, when Pedri was absent from the starting lineup, this occurred during Frenkie de Jong's injury absence.

Farinas remains an unlikely option, despite his ability to play in midfield, having recently featured at right-back to cover for the absences of Koundé, Eric Garcia, and Xavi Espart.

Rodri's absence comes as FC Barcelona struggles with injuries to other players including Jules Koundé, Eric García, Andreas Christensen, Xavi Espart, Dani Olmo, and Rony Bardaji.
