Hans Flick, the head coach of FC Barcelona, expressed his happiness with his players' performance during the win over Aston Villa, confirming that the team showed a remarkable defensive display and succeeded in achieving its goal of keeping a clean sheet.

Flick discussed the team's performance and Rodri's condition, as well as Raphinha's reaction to the death of Jesús de Miguel and the players' responses after recent losses.

Flick said: "It was extremely important that we defended together and cohesively today, the back line performed amazingly, as did Juan Garcia. When you look at the ages of the young players and the way they played, it makes me happy."

He added: "We played against a very good team, and we wanted to press them, and it is also important the way we defended and the confidence we showed both with the ball and without it."

He commented on the victory: "The win was important, as we faced a great team, and we defended well. We are happy with what we saw defensively; everyone gave their all to finish the match with a clean sheet, and we are pleased with the victory."

He continued: "Everyone was amazing, we were very cohesive, defended wonderfully, it was incredible."

Regarding Rodri's condition, FC Barcelona coach stated: "He was feeling some minor pain, but he is fine."

He added regarding the changes he made during the match: "Bryan had a good game, Raphinha worked hard, and we gave him some rest."

He returned to talk about Rodri, saying: "He felt some muscle pain, and we have to wait until tomorrow."

Flick spoke about Raphinha's reaction to the death of Jesús de Miguel, saying: "What happened in Tenerife affected him, as it affected everyone. I extend my sincere condolences to the family, the club, and friends, and to everyone. It is a tragedy, and Raphinha has been affected."

He added: "He wasn't upset about being substituted, and that's all I can say. We need to support each other and continue to execute the plan; we are all human, and he was affected by what happened."

Regarding FC Barcelona's reaction after the defeats, he said: "The most important thing in football and life is not the mistakes, but how to develop afterwards. Today we are heading towards the next challenge; it is important to remain calm and focus on the game plan."

Regarding Raphinha's current form, the German coach explained: "I have no doubt that he is going through a very good period, and if he maintains his fitness and returns well after the break, it will be beneficial for him and for us. He is a great player, and I wish him the best. If he does things well, everyone will benefit."

Flick concluded his remarks by pointing to the team's preparations for the upcoming clash against Atlético, saying: "We have four days to recover."

He also spoke about Marc Bernal and Frenkie de Jong, explaining: "Frenkie is returning from injury and played as a centre-back against Alavés, while Bernal performed very well when he was on the pitch."
