FC Barcelona awaits return of duo ahead of Atlético clash
Barcelona hope to regain the services of Erik Garcia and Andreas Christensen ahead of their match against Atlético Madrid, scheduled for next Sunday at the Metropolitano Stadium, as both players are showing positive progress in their recovery.
Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo" reported that the duo is confident in their ability to recover in time and make the team list for the upcoming match.
Erik García has missed the last four matches against Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid, Alavés, and Aston Villa due to a muscle injury in his right thigh sustained against Real Betis. It was expected that his absence would last between three and four weeks.
Andreas Christensen is recovering from a muscle injury in his left thigh sustained on September 19, with expectations of being sidelined for between one and a half to two months.
Barcelona's remaining training sessions, starting from today's session, will determine the players' readiness to return to the squad. Meanwhile, Flick is awaiting the results of Rodri's tests, as there are doubts about his participation due to pain in the hamstring.
